Since Auburn was chartered on February 1, 1856, as the East Alabama Male College students, faculty, and alumni have gathered at Toomer's to celebrate a myriad of events. With the recent attack on the two 130 year old oaks at Toomer's we are reminded how dear the Auburn family holds the intersection of College Street and Magnolia Avenue.
